March is Red Cross Month |
|
March 2008
Red Cross
Month is a time to celebrate and reflect upon the work of the
Red Cross in communities throughout America. It is also a time
when we encourage Americans to take steps to prepare for
emergencies, take CPR and First Aid training, to volunteer their
time, give blood and financially support the programs and
services of the Red Cross.

Praise for "Letters Home"...
A fascinating look at the heroines and heroes of World War II who perhaps didn't get the credit they deserved.
Through her poignant letters home, the author tells the inspiring story of those who toiled tirelessly behind the scenes to entertain and support the troops who were desperate to spend an evening dancing or laughing or just talking in a brief but vital interlude from the horrors of war. A moving tale of commitment and courage.
